WARNING!!!!!25I-NBOMe SOLD INSTEAD OF LSD 125µg

On 25th June 2016 a client of the drug-checking service in Perugia submitted a sample for examination, initially thinking it  was a LSD blotter dosed 125µg.

The blotter was red and black coloured

The sample was analysed using RAMAN Spectrometry and the result was

INCONCLUSIVE

The sample was submitted to a colorimetric test by LAB57. It was analysed with ERLICH, that gave NO result (there was no reaction).

25I-NBOMe

Rapid information: 25I-NBOMe is a derivative of the substituted phenetylamine 2C-I; it is a substance that mimicks the effects of LSD. 25I-NBOMe can be recognised because of its bitter and/or metallic taste, while the LSD has no taste. 25I-NBOMe is a strong hallucinogenic substance and the trip can last until 12 hours. 25I-NBOMe IS A NEW PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCE: there aren’t enough studies on it and there are no records on the use of this substance by man. As of 2015, 25 deaths related to the 25I-NBOMe were reported (21 in the USA and 4 in Europe); many acute intoxication were reported since the same period (32 in Europe). Due to these characteristics the substance appears as A HIGH-RISK DRUG WITH UNKNOWN AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECTS.
